Mexican managers prepare for a stay in Germany
Company contacts to the nutrition and luxury food industry in the focus
With a workshop in Mexico City, 22 Mexican managers, under the leadership of GICON InTraBiD GmbH, prepared for their four-week participation in the manager training program of the BMWi "Fit for Partnership with Germany" in October 2019 at GICON InTraBiD GmbH. They familiarized themselves with training topics, planned joint company visits and developed objectives for cooperation with German companies. For the group, the export of typical Mexican products such as tequila, mezcal (schnapps), nuts, jam, honey and healthy superfood is in the foreground. Consequently, the visit to the world's largest trade fair for food products (ANUGA) in Cologne is a focal point of the program. Direct business with German partners is to be initiated there. Other participants want to acquire technologies and equipment, for example for the use of renewable energies and for waste treatment, and exchange know-how with German experts from the information and communications sector. They are looking for companies that are available for individual meetings and are interested in long-term and sustainable business relationships.
The new group is already the 18th from Mexico in BMWi's manager training program, which currently covers 19 countries in Eastern Europe, Asia/Central Asia, Africa and Latin America. With the "Generation 8", as the participants in Mexico are numbered according to their order of participation, a group from this country known for its good foreign trade relations with Germany was already accompanied by InTraBiD in 2016. At that time, contracts worth almost 15 million euros were signed and business contacts were initiated that still exist today.
